3 Conversations that made me Financially Free at 27 Years Old

Hello Stoic Investors,

Today I’m going to share with you the three conversations that changed my life and made me

financially free at 27 years old.

I want to talk to you about this because all three conversations taught me something truly invaluable.

If I hadn't spoken with these people, I probably would never have changed my way of seeing things, and I

would never have managed to get to this point.

Conversation 1

This happened when I was finishing my bachelor's degree in Economics in Italy.

Up to that point, I believed that to be successful you needed to excel in what you were told to excel in: Get a

good degree, the best scores, and do everything as expected.

This conversation brought me back to reality.

The conversation was with a 32 y.o. manager of a consulting firm in Italy.

He was interested in bringing me into the company and starting my career there.

He proudly told me that after his promotion, he would make €2,000 per month and might also get a

company car.

I was shocked and thought:

"Is this the best?"

He had worked there for eight years.

The lesson I learned from this conversation is that it doesn't matter how good you are if you're in the

wrong environment.

I realized I was in the wrong environment in Italy.

So, I moved to Germany, where my starting salary was €3,000, 50% more than in Italy.

This change improved my career prospects significantly.

Conversation 2

The second lesson came from a financial advisor my family had trusted for 20 years.

My father, a hard worker but not a finance expert, had entrusted this advisor with his savings.

Over two decades, his investments didn't grow, and due to inflation, he effectively lost half of his savings.

This caused a lot of stress and confusion.

From this situation, I learned that you are the only person who truly cares about the best outcome for

your money.

At 18, I took over managing my family's portfolio, which eventually grew to seven figures.

By learning to invest early, I achieved financial freedom much younger than most people.

Conversation 3

In 2022, while working in management consulting in Germany, two senior colleagues left, leaving me alone

on a project that required three people.

I worked 12-15 hours a day to deliver what was promised to the client, expecting recognition and promotion,

but I wasn't promoted.

Despite my hard work and positive feedback from the client, I was overlooked for a promotion.

This made me realize I needed to quit and become my own boss.

So I decided to transition from an employee to a business owner.

Now, I have an online business with 12 employees.

I learned that I didn't want someone else controlling my success.

This shift allowed me to take charge of my career and future.

I realized that if you hate the fact that someone else controls your future or decides what you deserve, you

will hate being an employee more and more.

These conversations taught me invaluable lessons that redefined my approach to success and financial

freedom.

By taking control of my environment, finances and career, I was able to achieve financial independence at a

young age.
