CookieĀ Policy of stoicmoneycoach.com

This document informs Users about the technologies that help this Application (the website) to achieve the purposes described below. Such technologies allow the Owner to access and store information (for example by using a Cookie) or use resources (for example by running a script) on a User's device as they interact with this Application.

For simplicity, all such technologies are defined as "Trackers" within this document, unless there is a reason to differentiate. For example, while Cookies can be used on both web and mobile browsers, it would be inaccurate to talk about Cookies in the context of mobile apps, as they are a browser-based Tracker. For this reason, within this document, the term Cookies is only used where it is specifically meant to indicate that particular type of Tracker.

Some of the purposes for which Trackers are used may also require the User's consent. Whenever consent is given, it can be freely withdrawn at any time following the instructions provided in this document.

This Application uses Trackers managed directly by the Owner (so-called "first-party" Trackers) and Trackers that enable services provided by third parties (so-called "third-party" Trackers). Unless otherwise specified within this document, third-party providers may access the Trackers managed by them.

The validity and expiration periods of Cookies and other similar Trackers may vary depending on the lifetime set by the Owner or the relevant provider. Some of them expire upon termination of the User's browsing session.

ACTIVITIES STRICTLY NECESSARY FOR THE OPERATION OF THIS APPLICATION AND DELIVERY OF THE SERVICE

This Application uses so-called "technical" Cookies and other similar Trackers to carry out activities that are strictly necessary for the operation or delivery of the Service, including storing the User's cookie consent preferences. These Trackers do not require the User's consent.

TAG MANAGEMENT

This Application uses Google Tag Manager to deploy and manage the Trackers described below. Google Tag Manager does not itself create profiling Cookies, but it loads other tags that may do so. The Owner uses consent settings within Google Tag Manager so that non-essential tags (such as the marketing Trackers below) are only fired after the User has given consent.

OTHER ACTIVITIES INVOLVING THE USE OF TRACKERS

Beyond what is strictly necessary, this Application uses Trackers for the purposes set out below. These Trackers are only installed after the User has given consent through the cookie banner, and consent can be withdrawn at any time.

Functionality and interaction with external platforms

These Trackers allow Users to interact with content and tools hosted by external platforms directly within this Application.

  • Calendly widget. Provider: Calendly LLC. Purpose: booking and scheduling of calls. Type: third-party Cookies / script. Privacy Notice: https://calendly.com/privacy

Marketing and Advertising

These Trackers are used to deliver advertising, measure ad performance, and build audiences for advertising campaigns.

  • Meta Pixel. Provider: Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd. Purpose: conversion tracking, retargeting, audience building. Type: third-party Cookies / pixel. Retention: up to 90 days. Privacy Policy: https://www.facebook.com/privacy/policy
  • Google Ads (Conversion Tracking and Remarketing). Provider: Google Ireland Ltd. Purpose: conversion tracking, remarketing. Type: third-party Cookies. Retention: up to 90 days. Privacy Policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy
  • YouTube embedded video. Provider: Google Ireland Ltd. Purpose: display of embedded videos; may set advertising Cookies. Type: third-party Cookies / pixel. Privacy Policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy

Note: YouTube embeds may be served in privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com), which limits Cookies until the User plays a video. If this Application uses standard YouTube embeds, advertising Cookies may be set on page load and require consent.

HOW TO MANAGE PREFERENCES AND PROVIDE OR WITHDRAW CONSENT

Where the use of Trackers is based on consent, Users can provide or withdraw such consent at any time by setting their preferences within the cookie banner, or by updating these preferences via the consent-preferences widget available on this Application.

Users can also manage preferences related to Trackers directly within their own device or browser settings, for example by preventing the use or storage of Trackers. It is also possible, via relevant browser or device features, to delete previously stored Trackers, including those used to remember the User's initial consent preferences. Other Trackers in the browser's local memory may be cleared by deleting the browsing history.

Locating Tracker settings

Users can find information about how to manage Cookies in the most commonly used browsers at the following addresses: Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Apple Safari, Microsoft Edge, Brave, and Opera.

Users may also manage certain categories of Trackers used on mobile apps by opting out through relevant device settings, such as the device advertising settings for mobile devices, or tracking settings in general.

CONSEQUENCES OF DENYING THE USE OF TRACKERS

Users are free to decide whether or not to allow the use of Trackers. However, please note that Trackers help this Application to provide a better experience and advanced functionalities to Users, in line with the purposes outlined in this document. Therefore, if the User chooses to block the use of Trackers, the Owner may be unable to provide related features. Strictly necessary Trackers cannot be disabled, as the Service cannot function without them.

APPLICABLE LAW AND USER RIGHTS (UNITED KINGDOM AND EUROPEAN UNION)

This Application is intended for, and directed at, Users in the United Kingdom and the European Union. The use of Trackers and the processing of Personal Data are therefore governed by:

  • In the United Kingdom: the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003 (PECR) and the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR), as enforced by the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO). Under PECR, non-essential Cookies and similar Trackers (such as the marketing and advertising Trackers listed above) may only be placed on a User's device with the User's prior consent. Strictly necessary Trackers are exempt from this consent requirement.
  • In the European Union: the EU General Data Protection Regulation (EU GDPR) and the ePrivacy Directive, as implemented in the relevant member state.

UK Users have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, and object to the processing of their Personal Data, the right to data portability, and the right to withdraw consent at any time. Users may lodge a complaint with the ICO (https://ico.org.uk) if they believe their data has been handled unlawfully. EU Users have equivalent rights under the EU GDPR and may lodge a complaint with their local supervisory authority, or with the Italian Garante per la protezione dei dati personali (https://www.garanteprivacy.it), the authority for the Owner's place of establishment.

Where the marketing Trackers above transfer Personal Data outside the UK or EU (for example to the United States), such transfers are carried out on the basis of the safeguards offered by the relevant providers, including the EU-US and UK-US Data Privacy Framework and Standard Contractual Clauses.
